Brooke Stark

Brooke Stark is the Associate Director of Community and Local Government Relations for the SciTech Campus of George Mason University. Mrs. Stark brings with her almost 10 years of experience in Prince William County Government as an aide and chief of staff to a county district supervisor. During that time, she developed strong relationships within the county in order to understand and address issues countywide. She served on various internal committees with other county staff and attorneys to address issues such as residential overcrowding, powerline extensions, county ordinances and agrotourism. Developing strong ties between the county supervisor and constituents and helping residents navigate their government was always a focus of her work.

Mrs. Stark is responsible for community and local government relations primarily at the SciTech Campus and the Potomac Science Center in Prince William County. She serves as a liaison between George Mason University and local elected officials, Prince William Chamber of Commerce, civic organizations and local businesses. Her work includes identifying areas where these local organizations and George Mason University can find mutually beneficial projects and policies. This also provides the opportunity to build awareness in the community of the great resources, programs and facilities available at the SciTech campus.

She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast Journalism from Brigham Young University. Mrs. Stark’s career includes time in television news, public relations, corporate administration, politics, and government affairs. She has a long volunteer history including service and leadership positions at schools, women’s empowerment organizations, food banks, homeowners’ association, athletics organizations and youth programs.
