Sarah Gallagher has been working in the Office of Community and Local Government Relations at George Mason University since 2006. This office is the primary contact for individuals, business community organizations, and local municipalities that seek involvement with Mason.
Ms. Gallagher began her career in Chicago with the General Services Administration, Public Building Services as Presidential Management Intern. She was the Assistant Director of the Duxbury (MA) Rural and Historical Society, managing volunteers, museums and fundraisers. She has served as the President of the Friends of Cranberry Hospice, President-elect of Junior League, Rochester, NY and as both Boy Scout and Girl Scout Leader.
Ms. Gallagher holds a Master of Urban Affairs from Virginia Tech and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Bucknell University.
She is a 2013 graduate of Leadership Fairfax, Inc (LFI). Ms. Gallagher has lived in Fairfax County since 2005. She and her husband, Steve, live in Burke and have three adult children.
